FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Interested in learning more? Here are a number of frequently asked questions I've received. I've tried including a comprehensive variety, but if you still have questions, please get in touch and I’ll answer them ASAP.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

First thing is to set up a consultation. i will send you on a pre consultation questionnaire prior to this and we will then organize a time either over the phone or in the gym for our consultation. Our first session will consist of a movement assessment and let you get familiar with the process. the first 4 weeks will be gradual as it can be easy to feel overwhelmed with too much change. This process will be detailed in our consultation. 

IM WORRIED I WONT BE ABLE TO KEEP UP OR THAT THE WORKOUTS WILL BE TOO HARD

All programs are tailored to you. we will complete a full movement and ability assessment prior to starting, this in combination with our in depth consultation process will help me to determine what type of program and what level we should be starting at. As i have a holistic approach to exercise we will never push it to the absolute limit. you should not be crawling out of the gym, but i will push you to what you are capable of. i will always ask how you feel throughout each session and gauge the sessions as we go. sometimes you might not get a great nights sleep or missed a meal or maybe just not feeling great, we will tailor the session to fit how you are feeling where necessary. 

HOW MUCH IS IT?

Personal Training is an investment, I offer high quality specific coaching. There are a handful of different packages available, these are tailored depending on your wants and abilities. It could be 2 or 3 sessions a week 1-1 or group coaching. 1-1 sessions start at €50, for more info on Pricing we can set up a consultation. 

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR GYM TRAINER?

I have been training myself for years prior to becoming a personal trainer, I had my own fitness journey and have tried and tested all the different ways that do and don't work. I have been through it all myself so i know how it feels. How daunting it is to start, feeling intimidated by machines and equipment, overwhelmed by which exercises you should be doing and how often you should do them and don't even get me started on the confusion around nutrition and feeling like you shouldn't have this and the guilt surrounding what are incorrectly perceived as "bad foods". I can help you to find a sustainable plan that suits your wants and help you through all the tricky difficult moments and remind you that its completely normal and okay to feel like this! I'm here to help you feel comfortable and confident when you walk in the gym doors.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE AND A DIET PLAN?

I am a nutritional Advisor so I will advise you at all times. I do not offer Diet Plans as they do not help with long term change. I educate you on improving your diet while still allowing you to have foods you enjoy. I will never tell you to cut out any food groups. I have a holistic approach to diet and exercise and it is very important that what we do suits you and you alone. Basic Nutritional Advice is included in your Package, if you require more specific Nutritional Coaching I can help you to an extent but it would be best to work with someone who is more qualified in this area. 

DO YOU OFFER ONLINE COACHING?

I do indeed. I offer online coaching typically for those i have trained in person or who have some experience in a gym setting. Online coaching will involve a more detailed check in process as we will not have the 1-1 interaction throughout the week, we will have a face to face video check in once a month alongside weekly check ins. there is a two tier option for online coaching dependent on the level and needs of the individual.
